The Captain Morgan Spiced Gold Rum has a delightful, spicy aroma with notes of vanilla, butter caramel, nougat and charred barrels. Its spicy flavour is characterized by elements of vanilla, arrack, dark chocolate and marzipan. The rum can well be used as a cocktail ingredient but goes well with just ice as well.

Captain Morgan rum is named after the 17th-century Caribbean privateer from Wales, Sir Henry Morgan. He became the governor of Jamaica, where he started to produce rum. But it was the company Seagram, who started producing rum under the name Captain Morgan in 1944. Since 2001, the brand has been owned by Diageo and is based in Puerto Rico today.
