The Connemara Distillery, named after the region of the same name, is a subsidiary of the international beverage and spirits company Beam Suntory and is burned in the Cooley distillery in the County Louth, Ireland. The history of the distillery dates all the way back 1757 and over the years has managed to keep the traditional Irish spirit alive.

In contrast to many other Irish manufacturers, the malted barley darts here over a peat fire, as is only done for Scotch Whisky. This creates a strong smoke that is not typically done for Irish single malt. Connemara is a blend of different aged whiskies with the oldest being 8 years.
