The Tomintoul distillery was built in 1964 and is located in the well-known Valley of the river "Livet", so the inscription "Glenlivet" is also found on its label. The Scottish company Tomintoul made high investments in their production in recent years to make the distillery sustainable and makes long term planning possible. The investment included an energy-saving heat exchanger and thus renewable energy producers to provide cooling of vapors of alcohol for the back adding heat to the mash.
