The exclusive Highland Park Harald Iceland Whisky is the epitome of a strong single malt. 

The Highland Park Harald offers an intense aroma which can be defined by a relatively strong smoke, an intense spicy facet, as well as a sympathetic taste of dried fruit. Furthermore, Iceland whiskies present a slight sweetness, which is most likely due to the use of elegant vanilla beans in the production process. This gives the yellow-gold and bright Highland Park Harald a light, soft, almost reminiscent of oil note malt whisky. Connoisseurs in particular love this whisky. Consume pure or on ice.

In the endless complex finish of the regal Highland Park Harald the fabulous aroma of mature fruit is perfectly balanced with ginger root. Add the sweetness, the smoke and a couple of wooden notes and you are presented with an inspiring finish. 

The name of this malt is inspired by the Norwegian King Harald Fairhair who at that time founded the County of Orkney off the North-East coast of Scotland, which is home to the Highland Park distillery. The barley is malted on its own malting floor which is quite scarce these days. The generous Highland Park Harald is matured in highly-prized American and European Oak of which about 50% of the casks are first fill. The Highland Park distillery is now owned by the Edrington Group.

All the bottles are individually designed and embody historical events. The Highland Park Harald presents itself in amber color, packaged and bottled in a classic designer bottle within a metal sleeve. It is decorated with a shield which once again reinforces its special character. Whisky lovers describe this single malt whisky as a symbol of perfection. 

The still of Highland Park itself, as briefly mentioned, is at home on the Orkney Islands, and also has a direct connection to the sea and Northern European legends and stories. In addition to the conventional manufactured Malt whiskies, the distillery is known to produce at regular intervals whole thematic series of whiskies. The full-bodied Highland Park Harald belongs to the sought-after Warrior series where each whisky in named after a Viking worrier throughout the ages, which includes the  Highland Park Einar, Sigurd, Ragnvald, Svein and Thorfinn. Harald lived in the 9th century and was apparently responsible for training the vicious Viking armies called the “berserkers” that spread terror all over Northern Europe. The bloody shields used to hack though the enemies proudly adorns the Harald packaging. The Warrior series was launched in 2013. The Highland Park Harald makes a unique addition to a whisky collection.
