Only the finest ingredients from the French regions Picardie and Gensac are used for the refined Vodka. Fresh spring water which was naturally filtered through limestone from the Gensac region offers an amazing purity and gives the Grey Goose Vodka a clear and fresh taste. Together with the mild high-quality winter wheat grown “superior bread-making wheat” in Picardie a Vodka of total character and expression is produced. Grey Goose insists to use only the highest locally grown quality wheat, which is sown in October and harvested in August, to produce an unrivaled premium Vodka. After the wheat grain was fermented and distilled as a high proof spirit, it goes south to Gensac la Pallue. In the Cognac region Arrondissement the distillate is then mixed there with remarkable spring water. The fivefold filter system then scores the elegant and gentle flavor of the crisp Grey Goose Vodka which is so well known today. All the Grey Goose batches undergo 550 stringent quality control checks which include tasting by Francois Thibault the Cellar Master and only then does the Vodka receive its signature replaceable cork seal of quality. Francois Thibault also developed the recipe for the outstanding Grey Goose Vodka.
