The Talisker dark storm single malt Island whisky is, as its name almost gives it away, a sweeping and almost boisterous piece of smooth and dry whisky which has been captured in a bottle and represents a wild and untamed sea storm.

The amber-gold Talisker dark storm is the successor of the Talisker storm and is full of unique character. In addition the word "Dark" reveals that this single malt is darker than usual whisky. 

The full-bodied Talisker dark storm single malt Island whisky also has a slightly increased alcohol percentage which with the addition of one or two drops of water, new nuances of nice spicy flavors come to the fore.

The smell of the Talisker dark storm is intense and powerful and has a clear aroma of smoke and convinces with its young, fresh character. Traces of sweet liquorice and black currents are also picked up. 

Once on the tongue you will understand why the name was awarded to the potent Talisker dark storm. The first taste is gentle and full, but shortly thereafter a spicy pepper storm develops, which is characteristic for Talisker whisky and will leave you wanting for more. This so-called red chili is accompanied by smoky peat, salty ocean water, as well as flavors of coffee, cocoa and hazelnut. 

Towards the lingering end, the Scotch offers a clear, warm and long lasting feeling as it drifts over into a gentle dryness. 

The unusual Talisker dark storm has no age because it is a merger of whiskies that have different long maturation. This could specifically form the stormy attributes of the malts. So the fire feeling is achieved by the maturation in severely burned-out oak barrels. 

Talisker is a company that adheres to old traditions and want to make sure that the products always reach a premium. In 1960 the distillery was hit by a severe stroke of fate when a fire completely destroyed the old manufacturing facility. The however that was not the end of Taliskers. Two years later the production could be started again in a replica of the original distillery and from then on ran as if nothing had happened. The intense and powerful Talisker dark storm is marketed by the well-known Diageo Company who released this premium whisky in 2013.

Within a year of its first release the smoky Talisker dark storm single malt Island whisky already won two sought-after awards, namely a gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge and another gold medal at the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
