The smooth White Ron Barceló Gran Platinum Rum is a premium white Rum and has the scent of woody notes that are also found in the unique taste. They are joined by fruity notes of crisp green apples and fresh pineapple which gives the White Ron Barceló Gran Platinum Rum a special freshness. The home of the well-structured Ron Barceló Gran Platinum Rum is the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean and was only launched in 2011. The Dominican Republic provides a pleasantly warm climate for an extensive cultivation of sugar cane, which is particularly important for the manufacture of sugar and excellent Rum. Molasses which is a by-product of sugar production and sugarcane juice ensures that an excellent Rum is produced which is available anywhere in the world. Firstly the cane with yeast is brought to ferment, thus alcohol is removed from the sugar. In order to increase the alcohol content a distillation process takes place which is under continuous quality controls. The sought after Ron Barceló Gran Platinum Rum is a blend of different ages and ripened distillates, which together make up a real treat. After the distillation process the superb Rum is aged up to 6 years in selected American white oak barrels, which give the Rum time to mound its character and its full-bodied taste. Before the final bottling of the White Ron Barceló Gran Platinum Rum, it is carefully filtered and then filled in the distinctive glass bottles. This white colored Rum is achieved by filtering out the Ron Barceló Gran Anejo through charcoal until a transparent and crystal-like body is achieved that still retains the nuances of an aged Rum.

The Ron Barceló distillery was established in the 1930s by a Spanish immigrant called Ron Barceló who knew about producing an excellent Rum. The company has remained in the same family until now. In the 1980s, the Ron Barceló spirits were the true classics and were well loved in the Dominican Republic. The company now exports to 50 international countries, however, the main market continues to be Spain. The bright and smooth White Ron Barceló Gran Platinum Rum won a silver medal at the Miami Rum Renaissance Festival.
