The first impression of the crafted Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum is more than convincing. On the nose a variety of delightful flavors can be perceived which include cocoa, coffee, spices, tobacco and wood. This fabulous flavor composition remains on the palate and continues with distinct hints of cocoa, coffee, tobacco and a balanced sweetness skillfully mingled with the rather strong and spicy flavors. All these wonderfully balanced flavors create an explosive and exquisite taste sensation in a pleasant and smooth finish.

Cuba is home to the exclusive blended Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum, more specifically the city of the same name Havana. The tropical Caribbean sun island offers climatically and geographically all of the prerequisite conditions for a profitable sugar cane cultivation. This is essential not only for the sugar production but is of great importance for the Rum production as well. In 1878 José Arechabala founded the Havana Club label. The Havana Club Rum 7 year old assisted the company to making the international leap to overseas markets.

Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum is based on molasses, a thick, sticky and brown by-product that is produced during the sugar extraction. The company uses exclusively regional sugar cane which grows on the island itself. Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum consists of five different exceptional aged Rums and is one of the blended Rums. The uniqueness of the special Rum is that it is matured twice in different aged barrels, first in more mature barrels and later in younger barrels.  All Rums were produced by the excellent method of Cuban Barrel Proof and matured thereafter in selected oak barrels which previously housed bourbon or whiskey.

In the barrels the Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum has enough time to form its wonderful character and strong taste. Subsequently the fine Rum is bottled straight from the barrel into the bottle. The bottle is quite attractive, a wide bottle with a thick base and an elegant gold trimmed label. The bottle is packaged in an eye-catching traditional cigar box and is thus ideally suited as an exclusive gift.

The colorful ultra-premium Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum is the ideal sipping Rum but also makes a charming refreshing cocktail or mix.

The warm amber Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros Rum has been repeatedly awarded with great prizes. The noble Rum won the gold medal at the German Rum Festival and a year later also won the gold medal at the International Rum Conference in Madrid in 2015.
