Piccini Villa all Cortile Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG 2016 14% 0,75l

The perfectly riped grapes are carefully selected, gently harvested, and vinified to give life to this extraordinary reserve of Brunello di Montalcino. After fermentation of the grapes at controlled temperatures for 10 to 12 days, the wine is racked and matures in 25/45 hl customized barrels.

Limestone-based soil with balanced content of clay and schist, located at altitude of 350 m from where it benefits from sea breezes carried on from Maremma. The constant air movement from the coast reduces moisture level in the vineyards, while adding a certain freshness that enhances the aromatics. The mild climate and the large number of days of serene weather during the entire vegetative cycle assure the gradual and complete ripening of the grape clusters. Working the vineyards means to ensure that all the efforts are concluded into one single goal: the grapes. For this to happen, our agronomist team carefully supervises all the steps in the vegetative cycle of the vineyards, from the selection of the clones, to the density planting, canopy management, crop-thinning, harvest and grape selection.
