This Italian Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur Originale not only impresses with its fresh smell reminiscent of Italy but also promises the palate a taste experience with clear, sweet tones of Mediterranean cherries and mild, slightly bitter almond nuances.

In 1821 Girolamo Luxardo, a merchant decided to establish his own distillery and thus became the manufacturer of superb liqueurs and built the Luxardo brand in the port town of Zara which is now in the country Croatia but at the time was part of the republic of Venice. 

Girolamo Luxardos wife Maria spent her time at home making and perfecting liqueur. Her liqueurs caught the attention of connoisseurs which motivated the family to found their own distillery. The well-balanced Luxardo Maraschino liqueur undergoes controlled fermentation, is then distilled and is then matured in Finnish ash vats for two years.

Due to the Second World War the family Luxardo was forced to emigrate which temporarily compromised the production. 

Fortunately Giorgio Luxardo however decided to build a new distillery in the municipality of Torreglia, in Northern Italy, where until today Luxardo liqueurs are still produced after the secret family recipe ensuring quality and excellence. 

Currently the operation is already in its sixth generation and is still led exclusively by members of the family. 

This smooth and sharp Luxardo Maraschino liqueur is ideally suited for the pure enjoyment on ice or in combination with sparkling wine or champagne. 

But even cocktail lovers are satisfied completely. 

The Luxardo Maraschino liqueur can also be added to a hot coffee. 

The harmonious sweetness and the full-bodied taste of fresh cherries makes the award-winning Luxardo Maraschino liqueur particularly perfect for the creation of trendy cocktails and is of course an integral part of many bars and Cafés.

In Italy a traditionally aviation cocktail is served:

• 0.75 cl Luxardo Maraschino liqueur original
• 0,50 cl creme de Violette
• 4.00 cl quality Gin
• 1.00 cl fresh lemon juice

Traditionally these ingredients together with crushed ice in a cocktail shaker are shaken.

A cocktail cherry on the bottom of the glass serves as a perfect set and gives the drink that special something!
