The Islay Mist Peated Reserve is a blend of smoky Islay whiskey and milder representatives of the mainland, offering the perfect entry into the world of smoky whiskeys
The blended Islay Mist was made on the occasion of the 21st birthday of Lord Margadale. The reason for this was probably the fact that the local whiskey of the distillery Laphroaig would have been too smoky and strong for most of the invited guests. Because of this, the Islay whiskey was blended with Speyside Malts and Grain to give it a certain mildness.
