The Glenturret distillery was founded in 1775 and is one of the oldest, still-active Whisky distilleries of Scotland. Glenturret is also one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland which however produces an impressive 64000 liters of peated malt annually.

Currently the distillery is focused on the production of Whisky, which takes its finish in the blends of Famous Grouse, but you could produce some excellent single malts such as Glenturret Peated single malt for example.

Traditional production techniques are still used including hand mashing making the end product a real gem. 

For the production of Whisky the Scots always take their water from Loch turret which is where the company finds its name. 

Today Glenturret is part of the "Edrington group", which became very famous among other things for the distilleries of Macallan and Highland Park. Glenturret Peated single malt Whisky is one of three exclusive editions in the new Glenturret 2014 range. The range includes the Glenturret Sherry Edition and the Glenturret Triple Wood.
