Glenfarclas 25 years has an intensive, elegant aroma with distinct notes of casks and hints of coffee, nuts and chocolate.
Full and stron, taste of peat with a lovely sherry aroma of the cask, notes of orange marmalade, raisin, coffee and nuts. Long and intensive finish, long and dry with a light smokiness. Very well balanced and elegant single malt!
Among whisky enthusiasts often considered as one of the absolute top – this is a real quality whisky that has won many fans throughout the years.
The distillery was founded and got its license in 1836 on the Rechlerich Farm, at Ballindaloch. In 1865 Glenfarclas (which means "valley of the green grassland") was bought by the Grant family and still remains in the Grant family today. The whisky matures in 70% sherry casks and 30% bourbon casks.
Glenfarclas was named Distiller of the Year by Whisky Magazine in 2007.
