Clan Mac Gregor Blended Scotch Whisky 1 l

The Clan MacGregor contains fifteen excellent malt whiskies that were blended with the finest grain whiskies. This combination has led to a mellow and oaky aroma, which also offers nuances of vanilla, a little fruitiness and slightly grassy notes. On the palate the fruitiness is more present and the malt as well as the toffee bring the right amount of sweetness. Furthermore, a spicy oak flavour is acting as a great counterpart to the softer notes and creates a nice balance. The finish is of medium length and offers an elegant oak aroma.

The name MacGregor comes from a Scottish Highland clan that had its brightest moment in the 9th century. Back then Kenneth MacAlpin, father of Gregor, was King of Scotland. MacGregor defended the heritage he received from his ancestors. Even in times of hate and violence against the Clan MacGregor the bond among the members persisted and therefore there are still successors to be found today.

It was the 24th Clan Chief, Sir Malcolm MacGregor, who authorised William Grant & Sons Company to name this blended Scotch whisky after his clan. Thus, the badge and the motto of the MacGregors is printed on every bottle. “´S rioghal mo dhream“ means “Royal is my race“.
