Casa Marrone Appassimento is made from grapes that are hard to find outside of Italy: 30% Montepulciano, 20% Negroamaro and 20% Uva di Troia. The remaining 40% is a field mix of Lambrusco, Sangiovese and Merlot. While Montepulciano adds juicy aromas of red fruits, Negroamaro and Uva di Troia bring strength and structure.

Casa Marrone Appassimento is sealed by hand with the traditional Spago. "Spago" means cord in Italian. The technique dates back to when it held the cork in place.
