For the production of the dark deep mahogany Ron Botucal Reserva Exclusiva Rum, the manufacturer uses fermented molasses with a sugar content of approximately 60% and sugarcane honey. This results in a Rum that has both a strong and a lighter sweet body. The Premium Ron Botucal Reserva Exclusiva Rum arises from a blending of various distillates which have been distilled in copper kettles. After the first distillation in the Column Still process the heavier distillates migrate for further fermentation in pot still plant. The maturity stage of both distillates can take up to 12 years and  will be held separately in oak barrels. The result is a full-bodied blended premium Rum that inspires true connoisseurs.
