Chris Blackwell hails from the Lindo family, one of Jamaica’s oldest merchant families. Blackwell was born in London but right after his birth he returned to Jamaica and then went to school in England. In adulthood he returned to the Caribbean island where he then began with the creation of this beautiful Rum. So you can say that Blackwell feels at home in both countries.
Blackwell created the fine Jamaican Rum according to his own taste wishes. Hence a strict secret ingredient was added to the distillate of molasses which not only made the rich and complex Rum unique but also very interesting. Pot stills and long fermentation adds intensity to this dark Rum.
