The Baron Otard Cognac House dates back all the way to 1795. The Otard Chateau had the ideal thickness of cellar walls of 3 meters needed for the aging of quality Cognac. The River Charente located close to the cellar provides the perfect humidity of 90% and constant temperature of 15 degrees for the aging process. 90% Ugni Blanc grapes and the balance of Colombard and Folle Blanche grapes are pressed and fermented for three weeks for this wonderful creation. Double distillation only takes place from early November until the end of March.
