Yeast is mixed into the molasses and spring water and the sugar is converted into Rum. The liquid is charcoal filtered then fermented and aged. The flavour is then added, resulting in the exciting Bacardi RAZZ.

The Caribbean is not only famous as a tourist destination among the world's most popular destinations, but also as one of the leading Rum producing regions in the world. The company has a proud 150-year old history. In 1862 the Spaniard Don Facundo Bacardi founded the business in Santiago de Cuba. Bacardi then produced unique Rums with an incredibly popular taste based on the principle of "parallel process".

Don Facundo also experimented with new filtration processes such as filtration through charcoal to result in particularly pure and mellow distillates. He also set the standard for aged Rum in the world when he discovered that aging Rum in American white oak barrels produced the best results.

Bacardi’s bat logo was inspired by bats living in the distillery. Shortly after the coming to power of Castro the family was forced to leave the country and immigrated to the United States. It took a few years for the organization and structure of Bacardi to stand upright again and for the Rum production to be continued. But when that day began nothing could stand in Bacardi's way.

Original Bacardi Rum is refined for the production of Bacardi RAZZ with delightful fruit flavors to be then filtered and diluted to drinking strength. Due to the 32% by volume Bacardi RAZZ no longer counts in the group of Rums, as true Rum may be designated only from 37,5%. upwards.

Bacardi has had the pleasure of having more than 300 national and international awards since its inception. Of course this product continues to win countless numbers of international awards. In 2009 Bacardi RAZZ won the Silver Medal in the category "Best in Class" at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. Just one year later the delicious Bacardi RAZZ also received the bronze medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.
