Cornelius Dwyer Kane
Cornelius Dwyer Kane (aka Keane) (1839-1891) was a clerk and clerk from Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland. Kane, who was transported aboard the Hougoumont, was conditionally pardoned in 1871 but forbidden to return to Ireland, never to be reunited with his wife and children there. However, he settled in Queensland and became a civil servant.
