Cornelius Dwyer Kane

Cornelius Dwyer Kane (aka Keane) (1839-1891) was a clerk and clerk from Skibbereen, County Cork, Ireland. Kane, who was transported aboard the Hougoumont, was conditionally pardoned in 1871 but forbidden to return to Ireland, never to be reunited with his wife and children there. However, he settled in Queensland and became a civil servant.

Aroma: The wine has an intense aroma of mocha, caramel and sweet spices balanced with notes of raspberry and blackberry.

Taste: Rich and good body and a round taste with a pronounced sweetness. The prominent flavor notes of mocha and sweet spice complement the more subtle flavor notes of brown sugar and cinnamon well.
